We are seeking a knowledgeable Senior Technical Consultant with expertise in system design to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing the technical architecture of our platform. You will collaborate closely with the development team and stakeholders to ensure our platform is built with a robust and efficient system design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the system design process for our platform, considering reliability, scalability, and security aspects.

• Work closely with the development team and stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective system design solutions.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools to incorporate into the platform’s system design.
• Develop comprehensive documentation of the system architecture and design, including diagrams and specifications.
• Conduct system design reviews and provide feedback to optimize the platform’s performance, security, and scalability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in system design methodologies and technologies, incorporating them into our platform when applicable.

Requirements:

• Candidates with relevant experience in any of the following areas will be particularly well received:
  • Enterprise integration and messaging, including EDI and MQSeries
  • ERP or International Trade, Finance and Logistics
  • Business intelligence and data warehousing
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a Technical Consultant or similar role, with a strong emphasis on system design.
• Able to work under pressure, willing to face challenges
• Experience in software architecture, design and development within the software development life cycle
• In-depth knowledge of cloud infrastructure, especially AWS or Azure. Experience with: Java, JSP, EJB, HTML, SQL, LDAP, XML, XSLT and various leading technologies; 
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, utilizing Spring Boot (Java), PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ActiveMQ, Elasticsearch, and AWS S3 or Azure Blob. UNIX (e.g. Sun Solaris) and Linux platforms; database design and management; Object-oriented software design; and multi-tier application development
• Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup procedures.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, including SOC 2 compliance, network security, host security, and application security.
• Proficiency in utilizing security testing tools such as SAINT exploit tool and vulnerability scanners.
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and associated tools.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Mandarin, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
